Well I was dying to try this after reading your study on glasses. It finally went on sale and I bought it. And I've tried different types of whisky. And compared the results to a regular red wine glass and Glencairn. results, successes? Well it worked really well for the nose; I actually had less alcohol burn and was able to absorb more smells. Back? You really can't drink from that; it feels like the whiskey is dripping down either side of your mouth due to the shape of the lips. So if you don't like sniffing it and pouring the whiskey into a Glencairn (my favorite glass) before drinking, unfortunately it's not worth it. But your experience may differ from mine. In fact, after drinking whiskey for a while, I don't feel my nose burning at all. I'm not sure why, because it really bothered me at first. But not anymore, so the utility of NEAT glass won't do me much good anymore.
