I have a 2005 Toyota Camry with 100,000 miles on it. Recently, it jerks when braking at high speeds. When braking at low speed, the car pulls to the side. I checked my brake pads and they were fine. So I did a google search and found the rotors that need replacing. I did some research online and decided to buy these brake kits because they have good reviews from buyers on other sites I've visited. They arrived together in a rather heavy package. The mechanic charged me $300 to replace the front rotors. I consulted with a friend who had done this work before and he agreed to help me. So I changed the rotors myself under his supervision. It saved me a few hundred dollars. I also watched a YouTube video on how to do it. To be honest, it turned out to be a lot easier than I thought. (NOTE: If you are not interested in installation information, continue to the next paragraph.) The most time consuming part was jacking up the car and removing the two front tires. After that, all that was left to do was remove the calipers, the brake pads, and then the rotors, in that order. Holding the caliper while changing the rotor was one of the tricky parts, and it's actually not that difficult if you're prepared (keep a small cable or bike lock handy). Make sure you also buy or rent a caliper compressor before you start. Replacing 2 front rotors took less than 2 hours. There are many guides on the internet for this. I didn't have to bleed the brake fluid for my car, which is one of the common steps mentioned in online manuals. This may not be necessary if the brake fluid line is left attached to the caliper when removed. With the new rotor I put the brake pads back on. Then I squeezed the piston on the caliper and put it back on the pads. I lowered the car, hit the brake pedal a few times and was ready for a test drive. After installing new brake discs, I started spinning the car. There is no more wobbling or jerking to the side and it stops noticeably faster than before. There is no more noise either. I am very satisfied with this product. It was pretty easy to install, inexpensive, and works great. I didn't have to use the pads that came with the kit either as mine were fine. I keep them until I need them. Go ahead and buy this with confidence if the price is right for you!
