Review on πŸ”§ Drill America POUKFD Jobber Cutting Tool by Chad Judex

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well for most jobs

Most of my drilling work is done with a drill press and involves mild steel or hard and soft wood. These drills seemed to work well enough. === Good material ===* The drills produced holes within a few thousand of the marked dimensions (which is not always the case). In general, the holes are only slightly oversized, which I think is a good thing. * The holes were clean and there was minimal run out when drilling. * After about 20 holes in 1/8" very mild steel, 1/2" drill bit was still reasonably sharp, although not as good as when new. I drilled at low speed and used oil so the bit was somewhat 'spoiled' Admittedly tough oak wasn't easy, the bit also wanted to heat up and burn through at different speeds and feeds. === Summary ===Although it wasn't the largest bit set I've ever had, they worked well enough to be useful for most projects. They definitely seemed versatile enough to throw in a drill bag for general projects and repairs. Steel doesn't seem to last for some time, at least.
