Review on πŸ’‘ Enhance Efficiency with Western Enterprises QDB10 Quick Connect Set for Torches by Anuj Mierzejewski

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I know "serious " oxygen/fuel users might not use quick couplers. I'm lazy and that's great.

Bought a set just to try. The intention was that if they leaked, even the smallest ones, they would be returned. Installed it right away to make switching between oxy-fuel cutting and hot-welding torches easier. And even my Smith Little Torch, which I often use for soldering silver. Well I used the best leak detection soap I could find. Once installed (built into the burner) I carefully checked for leaks by gradually increasing the pressure on the burner side to 50psi. inch g oxygen and up to 15 psi. 15 maximum pressure of acetylene is safe to use. I almost never use 50 PSIG oxygen. Well, they were perfectly airtight. Oxygen and acetylene turned off. Deleted both lines. Flashlight removed from quick connector. Added back 20 psi. inches of oxygen. no leaks at the open end of the quick connector. The check valve worked as it should. The same applies to acetylene. Now they can withstand continuous use on/off on/off on/off etc. in the welding shop. I do not know. For my use they should be fine. Of course, they will review them every time they are used. It took 2 sets and I didn't buy any cheap whistles that are available. These things are one piece so I bought another complete set of westerns and used the nozzles on my other flashlight. This setting works well for me.
