I have read reviews that say the dimensions on the rod do not match the cutting wheel, mine is accurate. In any case, I rarely use numbers, but when I need them, they will be accurate. A rotary cutter is really not needed. It works well enough for softwoods, but most wheel markers don't offer this option, and there's a good reason for that. A fixed wheel just works better on any tree. With particularly soft products (no wood), a bearing-mounted cutting disc can be useful. I've found that while the wheels are a bit sharp, they need to be polished to have really sharp edges. You'll need to do this regularly with wheel sensors anyway, so it was expected to take a few minutes to set up and tweak. The screw holding the cutter is countersunk and users appreciate this design feature. Good price and a good complement to other wheel sensors I use.
