Review on ISM Berkley Comfort Saddle Black by Sick Yeldell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Cruiser style seat but no spring

I've been using an ism saddle since 2015. My street was narrower. I did notice the seat was a little sore after a 30-mile ride, but at least I didn't get any numbness (a male trait). When I got the hybrid electric city mountain bike, I got narrower. It seems to work better on a road bike than a proper mountain bike. So I got a fat cruising/comfort saddle with a larger contact area from ISM. ISM has a 3-4 style. The original "Tourists" (not sure if they make them now or just from old stock). The Berkeley is wider at 250mm x 220mm with 60 foam. The Urbaine is slightly narrower at 205mm but longer at 235mm. Has 40 foam. Metro is similar to Berkeley but slightly narrower, its width is 210mm, other characteristics are close. It's really weird for me to be comfortable when I've been riding the narrower Ism saddle the whole time. However, I prefer ISM over a regular bike saddle because I don't want to have erectile dysfunction or male deafness. It doesn't have a spring like a normal bicycle saddle.

Pros
  • Foam padding
Cons
  • Not sure
