This was my first purchase of an external monitor, so I took a small risk. The product is good for what it is, but looking back, 28 inches is too wide for a 1080p display. If you're set for a 28-inch display, you get 1440p. But if you're like me and don't want to spend for 1440p (which is MUCH more expensive than 1080p), I'd just go for a smaller monitor (21-24ft max). If I had to do it all over again I would buy two 21 inch monitors and be done with it. Keep in mind this is no blow to ViewSonic, the product is good for what it is, I just don't think the specs are a good choice.
