We have this in our kitchen. He does his job and makes it quiet. You can't even hear it because of the fridge, dishwasher and oven. That's a good size. Not too big for a kitchen table. So we leave it there after the next use. I really like the design of the night light. It's easy to see and work in the dark, so I don't have to turn on the light in the kitchen. One night after dinner I forgot to turn it off or use the timer function, left it on for several hours until waking up in the middle of the night to get some water. No additional light is required to turn off. The built-in blue backlight worked great and was actually pretty. Like my computer keyboard. We have a cat who dislikes many household appliances because of the noise they make. He agrees. It's been on our counter for a week now. Has never bothered a cat.
