I need one of these to connect my PC headset to the console. I bought this to replace another broken adapter but it stopped working after about 6 days. I had partial or complete loss of audio unless I wiggled the cord or adjusted it in just the right spot. until the wire has moved a millimeter. I bought this one because the cable was braided and cost a lot more than it should have so I assumed it would last a little longer than a cheaper unit. Not correct. The cheaper defective unit I replaced lasted longer than this one. I'm really tired of people selling me pure shit just to make an extra 12 cents a block or so. Instead, I opted for a wireless headset so as not to have to rely on cheap internet retailers. I've had to replace the mic once and this adapter twice and I just about got it done. Last straw. When you're where I've been Skip the step and just get wireless earbuds. This adapter will not cure your ailments, it will only annoy you more when an overpriced product fails within a week. By the way, the adapter was for me, not for children, I am 34 years old. I am an adult and I do not abuse or abuse electronics in any way.
