They perfectly prevent the mask from touching the mouth and nose. The silicone material sticks a bit to your face so you don't need the part your mask goes through, in fact I cut mine off because it was sticking out weird. However, due to the fact that it's silicone and sticks to your face, it can be a bit uncomfortable if you're doing something that makes you sweat. I would also like to mention that I was working outside in the cold and my hot breath inside the mask caused condensation to form on the silicone to the point where it dripped back onto my face. So this product 100% solves the problem of the mask against the face, but there are also some slightly annoying moments.
