It grinds nothing finer than the 6-8 setting. And I had to stir the beans under that number. SMH. I called Braatza support. I told them it doesn't grind anything below 6. They walked me through everything and as a result explained that you don't have to grind anything below 6 in the Aero Press. This answer was unsatisfactory. I am returning the item today. Do not buy for fine grinding. To update. After picking up the Baratza at the UPS store, I went to BB&B and checked out what they had on the shelves. I saw the Breville Smart Grinder Pro display on the shelf but no inventory. I ended up getting a display model at 30% off a typical product coupon at 20% off. Brought it home, cleaned it thoroughly and made sure everything was assembled well. It worked, and it worked really well. So I highly recommend checking out this product if you are looking for a really well built and quality coffee grinder. Update 2: I didn't get a 100% refund because I used a coffee grinder. Instead, I got 60% off $149. What a terrible trading company.
