I would recommend Prevident 2000 or Gelkam for tooth decay patients.

I am a dentist and I use this toothpaste. Traditionally, I recommend Prevident 2000 or Gelkam for patients prone to tooth decay or suffering from dry mouth. dr However, FACE's Jeff Brusia recommended Enamelon + MI Paste as a combination for dry mouth or remineralization. After reading some studies I started recommending it to my patients (after trying it myself)[.] (here's a study). Enamelon is the only toothpaste I know of (at the time of writing this article) that contains activated calcium phosphate (ACP). I recommend my patients to use it exclusively because the bioavailability of ACP is local (not systemic). I like that it's free of artificial dyes, microbeads (Crest, Colgate[.]/) and too many artificial or useless things. It's a fairly mild toothpaste - *no abrasive* (just looked at the MSDS), ACP, some stannous fluoride (not much), mild flavor and no fancy coloring. !This is good for: 1. Reversing/preventing acid damage (through the action of stannous fluoride).2. Minimizing sensitivity, especially associated with whitening or recession (due to ACP).3. Regression/remineralization of caries at an early stage (by ACP and stannous fluoride).4. Dry mouth/elderly (due to ACP and fluoride) This does not help with: 1. Gums. No toothpaste really does anything for your gums. Use dental floss, oral irrigator, or chlorhexidine mouthwash. 2. Teeth whitening. In fact, I would avoid any "whitening toothpaste" as it just contains an extra abrasive compound and free radicals. If you want to whiten your teeth, do it the right way by using special teeth whitening trays and whitening buffer solution. For staining teeth: very unlikely. If that toothpaste "turned your teeth brown," you probably have something else on your mind (diet (tea, coffee, red wine, tobacco, berries), exposure to high levels of minerals in tap water, chlorine in the pool, what something that that killed bacteria in the body). mouth.) While stannous fluoride can stain teeth brown, this particular toothpaste doesn't contain much of it. In any case, staining from this toothpaste should be relatively easy to remove for a trained dentist. Anyway, I've just placed another order for this (for a patient) and will likely recommend this toothpaste as the toothpaste of choice (except for kids who are too young to spit).
