Review on PEScience Select Vegan Plant Based Protein Powder, Cinnamon Delight, 5 Serving, Pea And Brown Rice Blend by Richard Kuntz

Weird flavor, but solid macros.

I’ve been experimenting with different vegan protein powders to help with a slight dairy intolerance, and this one was a bit weird. I mostly use protein powder for protein oats, and this one results in a very thick, paste-like consistency when mixed with oats. The regular PEScience whey-casein blend protein doesn’t do that, but it’s understandable since it’s a completely different protein source.I ordered the peanut butter delight flavor of this vegan protein, and it’s just. not quite good. Adding a little salt helps, but it’s sort of bland otherwise. I know you can’t expect a super-sweet dessert flavor from every protein powder, but this isn’t a super enjoyable way to get your protein in. I’ll have to try the other vegan flavors to see if they’re any better. Not a terrible price for protein powder, but certainly not the cheapest either.

Pros
  • This protein powder tastes really good. I think the vanilla one tastes better than the chocolate.
Cons
  • Expensive compared to other vegan protein powders on the market
