This is a great looking and functional chrome weight. This is the best I could find for the money and far better than the Audio Technica AT618. I tried the AT first and it has a couple of major flaws, the biggest being the outer ring which is all rubber so it flexes and deforms. has a very small overall weight width and doesn't have the nice felt bottom that this record weight from Turntable Labs has. Note: You can also easily remove the stamped Turntable Labs name with rubbing alcohol which will make it look better. IMHO It's 1.65 pounds. Labs is a great buy at around $50. The only weight that is better is the $90 project, which weighs slightly more, has a wider 1/4-inch weight distribution, and is easier to lift. For me the $50 Turntable Labs was worth the money and looks great too. I bought Chrome and it fits perfectly with my Technics SL-Q3 and SL-Q2 in perfect condition and works with many tables with good center bearings. Make sure your table can handle this weight before purchasing. More direct drive or better belt drive stages can handle it, but very cheap stages can't. For audiophiles: it very effectively reduces some LP distortion and also adds some bass response. You can also easily remove the stamp on the label that is not in the center. Use of medicinal alcohol. If that's what you like more... but if there's distortion in just one area (e.g. the first or first and second tracks of an LP) it's all but eliminated. I've searched long and hard for the best record weight at a fair price and this is hands down one. Advice for users of this weight: be careful when picking it up with your fingers. It has a small edge that you can hold on to and when your hand gets dry it can easily slip off. I know how it ruined my first copy of Dire Straits "Brothers In Arms" on 180 gram vinyl in a 2 LP set. My fault but that will never happen again now that I know how slippery that 1.65lb weight is.
