Review on Sanus BF24B Inch Speaker Stands by Jonathan Clark

Looks good but would like advice on fitting. Before receiving them, I read some reviews about gapping and assembly difficulties. The advice to be careful, use a hand screwdriver and take your time was spot on. During the process, I noticed things weren't aligned properly and realized I had a problem. Though I thought I had the screws in the very small pilot holes before tightening them, apparently I didn't, but they went in so easily! Well, here's my advice: widen the pilot holes a bit before assembly so you can tell when the screws are in the right place. The material is so soft that you can do it with the same screwdriver that you will use to connect them. Better yet, take a small drill and deepen the holes a little. If I had to do it again, I would. That would save a lot of time and nerves. I could blame the material they're made of, but for the price, you get that.
