Sanus Steel Stand Stick

I bought these as a gift for someone. I already have SF26 steel. They were expensive but I felt they were worth the money. I decided to stay with Sanus. This. You can tell that the wood is not of the highest quality. Please note that some of the complaints about the bolts being too big and cracking the bearings have not caught my eye. I think Sanus must have noticed the feedback and fixed the problem with different holes or screws. The design/construction may need improvement. The cable routing

Handy but fragile

These speaker stands are reasonably priced which is why I bought a pair. I think they are all overpriced for what they really are, including this one, but they seemed like the best budget option to me. They are good, even attractive, and seem to offer good prices. utility. I outfitted them with large Boston Acoustic HD8s before moving on to a Polk TSi100 and then a pair of B&W DM303s. But no matter what material they're made of (my guess: pressed bran flakes), it's sooooo fragile. When…

It's great when they've been collected, though.

Looks good but would like advice on fitting. Before receiving them, I read some reviews about gapping and assembly difficulties. The advice to be careful, use a hand screwdriver and take your time was spot on. During the process, I noticed things weren't aligned properly and realized I had a problem. Though I thought I had the screws in the very small pilot holes before tightening them, apparently I didn't, but they went in so easily! Well, here's my advice: widen the pilot holes a bit before…

Very good stands! Especially the price.

I've just received and assembled the Sanus BF24B 24" speaker stands. I want this to be written while it's still fresh in my mind. This was a very simple build but you should take your time It's not "wood", it's sawdust mixed with glue, formed into boards and painted black. For the price, I'm okay with that, but it means that if you take your cordless screwdriver and start screwing hammer, end up with a bunch of sawdust and screws. Use a hand screwdriver and work slow and you'll be fine. Plan…

Easier than you think

So many complaints about breakage. It's DVP! I assembled it in about 20 minutes with no problems and no disconnection. A few tips: Use a Phillips screwdriver to poke the pre-drilled screw holes just enough to make them easier to find when inserting the screws into the bottom and top boards. Sit on the floor, hold the baseplate between your legs, insert the screws, and then hold the leg (with the screw holes) up to align the holes. Tighten 1 screw, then screw the second and done. The screws are…

Decent stands for the money

Decent stands for the money. Looks nice. The wife agreed. These coasters appear to be made from softer MDF and will break if you are not careful when assembling. Following the warnings of other reviewers, I resisted the temptation to assemble with a power tool. I took out an ordinary old Phillips screwdriver. I opened the box and threw away the instructions. guys do it. I then inserted screws into the holes in the base and placed them in each of the two vertical pieces. I didn't tighten them at

Good but imperfect best speaker stands

You get your $60 but not much more. There were no assembly/disconnection issues, but two screws cleared a hole in the chipboard (don't expect wood). Two questions: 1). They replaced a pair of Sanus coasters I bought over 10 years ago and they had screw-in metal legs instead of cheap plastic snap-in legs. That means they can't be used for speaker alignment, they're either fully on or not used at all. This is not the case with old shelves. 2). The screw holes are recessed at the bottom but not at
