You get your $60 but not much more. There were no assembly/disconnection issues, but two screws cleared a hole in the chipboard (don't expect wood). Two questions: 1). They replaced a pair of Sanus coasters I bought over 10 years ago and they had screw-in metal legs instead of cheap plastic snap-in legs. That means they can't be used for speaker alignment, they're either fully on or not used at all. This is not the case with old shelves. 2). The screw holes are recessed at the bottom but not at the top. It doesn't make sense to me as the legs go through the screw holes at the bottom, so no problem, but they're not recessed at the top and the heads stick out, meaning you can't use any speaker cable other than a completely flat one. A work around for this is to run the speaker cable up the stand and then pull it back out before connecting it to the speaker. I suppose I could drop the top and use thicker lasts if I had the right bit, but I feel like it was designed upside down. Otherwise, the speaker holds up well and you get your money's worth. I believe if you want a better fit and finish you can spend twice as much.
