This light did not come with the 1156 bulb but did come with some dimmer. So weak it's almost useless. Replacing the bulb with a real 1156 bulb (2 for $20) makes the light acceptable. This is listed as a porch light which should weatherproof it, which it isn't. The rear metal plate snaps into the case leaving gaps around the entire outer edge. A gasket is not supplied to prevent water from entering the fixture or structure. The wires exit the back panel through a 90 degree grommet that protrudes 1/4 inch from the edge of the case. To mount it flush to the structure you will need to drill a 3/8" diameter hole in the structure that aligns with the bushing within 3/8" of the screw hole. Another option would be to carefully trim the grommet flush with the back panel without cutting the wires. The connecting wires are 6 inches long. The device is supplied in a thin plastic bag. Unfortunately Revain only put it in a mailing envelope so the yellow lens was broken when received.
