Update: I returned this lens due to chromatic aberrations which were visible in almost every shot. I photographed a model dressed in black against a light background against the light, but strange colors appeared at the edges of the shadows and at the border of the subject and the background. I shoot professionally and the LightRoom settings have little effect on those settings. This hasn't happened with other lenses I use on the same camera. I look forward to shooting more with this lens as the weather warms up. I've used it indoors on low light shots at f/1.8 and it works very well. We're going to be filming a wedding out in the snow this afternoon. The lens arrived well packaged but was not in the box with the goods and no papers, just the lens with lens hood and cap. Some of the white lettering on the lens barrel has been erased. I don't know if I bought a new lens or not. I understand this version was not intended for US distribution hence the lower price.
