Review on Bosch 8 Inch RH328VC Vibration Control by Christopher Millet

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Powerful rock drill bit at a great price

Really wanted to give it 5 stars but a small problem caused me to remove one . The depth gauge often slipped and I had to drill holes deeper than necessary. I made sure the wand was inserted correctly, but it still slips off due to the vibration. Plus, it works great for home use! My Milwaukee impact drill is much slower when drilling into concrete and the vibration from it hurts my wrist. It took me a few days for the pain to go away. That's why I decided to invest in a hammer drill. This Bosch breaks through concrete very quickly, especially compared to a rock drill, vibrations on the handle are minimal and it is much quieter than a rock drill. Because it drills very efficiently, the drill doesn't wander from side to side much, so the holes end up right where you want them. The hammer-only mode will also come in handy. This is a great product and according to my research one of the best performing in its price range. I can only recommend that.

Pros
  • Vario-Lock puts the tool in neutral so you can choose from 12 different positions so you can fine tune the position of the bit
Cons
  • Can't remember
