The original Mag-Safe technology uses a notch on the female end to connect the (energized) male end of the connection. This notch provided both precise alignment and the connection was less prone to separation than a simple magnetic connection. The HOGORE design does not have this notch. If you've read negative reviews of this device, customers have complained about (a) insufficient magnetic force and, even worse, (b) arcing. Both that and another is a consequence of an imperfect design of the given device. It works, but the slightest movement will cut power, and poor design results in a dangerously unreliable connection. Wait for better technique.
