Solid brass of good construction - unpolished brass

This is a solid brass door knocker. Make sure you measure the size on your door. The measurements in the description were correct but I didn't mark them on my door and it looked too small. Also, from the photo in the ad, it's hard to tell if the door knocker was antique, worn, or if it was just illuminated. The anchor door knocker has a more antique finish. I was hoping it would be polished brass. I ended up sending it back because the size and color didn't suit my use. If you are looking for a solid brass door knocker with an antique finish then this is the one for you.
