Deck screws are designed to perform in harsh weather conditions. The marketing states that Protec-Kote "protects against corrosion in a wide range of decking applications". However, this is not the case. Upon removing the rotten board, half of the screws were either badly corroded or broken when trying to remove them. Next time I'll probably go with camo.
