Does exactly what it's supposed to (usually).
Perfect for the job. Pour some tea into it, close it, heat water, put a teaspoon in it. The only thing to do is be careful not to overfill with tea. When the tea expands, the lid of the spoon can open. When this happens, you've really "poured" tea, leaves and all into your cup. Otherwise I have been using them with satisfaction for many years. Bought for my son from Revain. It arrived quickly and as advertised.
