The Freestyle Spoon is shaped more like a real spoon than a Pro Spoon which is slightly longer. The freestyle feels really solid, maybe even with less recoil than the pros, but as an adult I prefer to spin the pros. Glad we have freestyle for our youngest child (2 year old) and plus points for older children (9 and 11). I was thrilled that our green Freestyle came with custom grips instead of the plain black ones as pictured. Ours shows a wave with a turtle swimming beneath it. They are very popular with our children and all the children who come to us (and adults too!) love to play with them. We're glad we got them.
