I used them to mount my new C9 Christmas lights. Once I figured out how to use them, it became easy. What I didn't like was that there were no instructions. I checked Holiday Lighting Outlet's website and they didn't have any instructions either. Then I searched the internet for videos on YouTube. So I have a photo of my clip and how I used it. I put a clip around the bulb so I did NOT have to unscrew or remove the bulb. It glided right around him. I then slid the long side of the clip under the clapboard so the hook was on top. I've also seen them used only for holding wires. I hope it helps.
