I was always frustrated with aquarium immersion heaters because they were very difficult to set up accurately. This heater makes it easy to set the exact temperature you want and also displays the actual water temperature, eliminating the need for a separate thermometer. The controller mounts outside of the tank, so you don't have to reach into the water to adjust the heater. The numbers on the display are large and easy to read from a distance. It also includes an automatic shut off in case the water level is too low and the heater opens. I am using a 300 watt heater for a 125 gallon aquarium. It works great and I am completely satisfied with this purchase.
