Okay, I'm not a professional photographer, but I take a lot of photos for my blog, my Etsy shop, my Facebook. I HATE those ugly flash photos. My friend asked me to photograph her daughter's wedding as she had no money. I knew I had to have lightning in the restaurant. I did a little research and found that instead of shooting the flash directly at the subject, you can bounce the flash off the ceiling to create light without creating a harsh effect. So I found this super cheap swivel flash, put it on my Canon Digital Rebel XTI and voila! My photos looked amazing. I use it all the time now and can't imagine ever not having it. It was plug and play 4 AA batteries, switch on, red light days are done and off you go! Charges in 3-5 seconds, so you need to pause between photos. The only downside is that while it turns off automatically if you leave it on, it still drains your batteries - don't forget to turn it off! Unfortunately my tripod fell over and the flash broke but I liked it so much that I bought another one. Great starter flash!
