So normally we don't want to leave a positive review on a product that ends up with a defective part, right? Well, in this case, that's exactly what I'm doing. We ordered two of these smart door locks for our home. The first one ran spectacularly (at least after actually reading the instructions and realizing I had gotten it wrong from the start). Second, good. not as much. The inner door locking mechanism was completely disassembled and did not work properly. I tried calling customer service which for those of us living in the eastern US was only available after hours or after 8pm EST. Since I go to bed early, I decided to write an email to the contact person given in the instructions for use, and the answer was not long in coming. He explained the situation, sent a photo of the faulty part and a stool. No questions were asked. I thought it was too good to be true, but the spare part was in our mailbox within a few days. I installed a new lock and it works great. The product works as described. I wish the fingerprint sensor was a little more forgiving, but that's just my personal opinion. The door codes work great, the scanner cards for this feature work great and the mobile app works fantastic. Fingerprints or scanner cards are used to reliably record who has entered and left the house. As teenagers live here it's nice to know when they're in and out while we're away. It's such a great tool that we're installing it on our basement door and drive-through garage door. .Thanks to Jamie at SMONET Customer Service for her excellent response to our questions and support.
