The top of the compression vest is much thicker and better quality than I expected. Thickness needs to be considered when layering, but that's more of a plus than a minus. I love how the compression zones are visibly woven into the fabric, which makes the shirt feel more thoughtful than just a stretch fabric shirt. I think it's too long; I have a 46" chest and a 36/38" waist so I ordered size 3x-4x and am still having trouble putting them on but the compression level is spot on (I think) so I'm sure that she is the right size based on my chest measurement. Although I'm 6ft 3in I find it too long as I need to wear it a little looser (i.e. not pull it all the way down) so I don't have to fold it under my pants at pubic level. OK, except when I feel like I'm losing a little compression. The jersey style works great! It looks and feels good under button-down fabric shirts, but under jersey shirts (polos, sweaters, etc.) - or - depending on which knit fit you're starting with.
