Replaces a really old one. This is perfect for my needs. We have a 1904 farmhouse. And we haven't renovated the living room yet, so I don't have outlets near the chair. And it's about 11 feet to get to the one on my side of the room. The long cord fits perfectly in my corner of the room. It fits under a 2 foot end table and a 96 inch sofa with my chair. Thus our setup accommodates a long cable and it is not seen or tripped over. I also do manicures at home, so even if I had 2 sockets next to me, it's not enough. My flashlight has a narrow plug on the side, the nail drill is a regular plug, the dust collector is a big wide plug, the LED lamp is also a big wide plug. Then I add a regular table lamp, a phone charger and an air purifier. Plus an extra charger for everything the kids need to charge. .but kids charge samsung s7, fire and all their other tablets with no problem via the built in usb ports! i did NOT read the description to the end.(MY FAULT) and didn't understand that i bought a refurbished one. HOWEVER, it is still great! Not a single complaint from me. 6 months and NO problems. If I had to file a complaint. n white. We live on a gravel road and the living room is at the front of the house (about 30 feet from the road). So it's impossible to keep black (or anything dark) clean in this space (especially now, during harvest time, when all the grain trucks are rushing day and night). But hey, it's on the floor under the table, hidden behind my chair ;) By the way, I didn't get anything for my review at all.
