Not for beginners or children
The wood was difficult to carve and the knives were an improvement over tin but you could do better overall for $2. I was excited to use the set and make some cool stuff but it was like carving a rock with a debit card, even using my very sharp knife I still could barely get the job done. I work with my hands to earn a living and I'm very strong in that regard so I can't imagine a child or weaker adult making even a dent in this tree unless I have a dent for some reason. The package arrived on time and I received every item, but that's all good. I ended up cutting my losses, throwing everything away and buying a decent set for a lot of money.
