I chose this collar because it was advertised as reflective. In fact, this collar has almost no reflective properties, which is why it is rated 4 stars. However, it deserves another 4 stars because it is very well made. I bought a medium sized collar for my 17 month old 35 pound springer spaniel who tends to prey on the family cat and neighborhood chickens. The plastic buckles are thick, well made and snap with a definite click, and the nylon webbing on the collar is also good quality, strong and well able to withstand unexpected lunges or jerks while walking. I'm not worried about this collar stopping my teenage dog's craziness from time to time and I'm sure it would handle my 60 lb lab mix too when it was in its prime, So I'll keep the collar on. The cute bone patterns on the collar are also a plus. So, although it is not reflective at all, the overall quality of the collar is quite worthy of 4 stars.
