Too big, too hot, too bad delivered.
My impressions of the lamp are the same as other reviews on this site but not that mine arrived damaged. In all the wisdom of Amazon, they have chosen to ship these lamps in the same box (no packaging material) as the heavy duty iron tow bar kit. The lightbulbs were banged to hell, but they still worked. The first thing that struck me is that they are HUGE, maybe too big. They didn't fit the case I intended them for. And yet I tried them in lamp applications. They're good and bright. But the heat, oh the heat. The bases of these things get hot as hell. I know that LEDs, like other lamps, are prone to heating due to energy conversion, but that seemed like an exaggeration. I returned it and chose an equally bright Philips bulb, which is bright, about the size of a standard incandescent bulb, and not as hot at the base.
