Just received, not yet used. I bought them for stamping 2400 grade steel. Not sure if they can handle it. Hot steel is softer than cold copper, so that should work. There weren't any useful specs in the description, so I intend to test the character hit for destruction. I will check the carbon content. I'll use it diligently until I know if they survive like this. If it turns out that it doesn't work, I will fully anneal and heat treat to my specifications as needed. m and gave them tentative thumbs up. Keep in mind that since they are double ended you should use a brass hammer to avoid damaging the "other" end which you are stabbing rather than hitting.
