I had almost all pulse desulfators. I have Power Pulse devices from the 80's. I use them on pickup trucks, sorting tractors, forklifts, floor scrubbers and anything that rolls and has a lead acid battery. Since it's not intended for use on airplanes, I use a Battery Minder specifically designed for charging airplane batteries. I'll probably save over $2,000 a year in battery replacement costs. Because battery manufacturers make batteries that barely survive the warranty period, even if they know how to make a battery that lasts, it's easy to justify spending on a vehicle if it doubles or extends your battery life. My experience with large deep cell trojan batteries is about three times the lifespan. Car and light truck batteries usually double their service life. Flight batteries (expensive) last 3-4 times longer. Count yourself. You can afford to spend $30-$40 per vehicle on one of these PowerPulse devices. If you have a maintenance-free battery (which you can remove the covers from and check the electrolyte), buy a professional rechargeable hydrometer and learn how to use it. I use two different Brady Instruments instruments (one for airplanes, one for everything else). These are professional, accurate, high-quality American tools. But be careful, it's glass. They offer replacement parts. No, I don't work for them! But in case you didn't get it, I take battery maintenance seriously. I know the condition of the battery in all my cars and am never surprised by an unexpected failure. The attached image shows the PowerPulse installed on my tractor. This setup saves me about $130 every two years.
