Review on 🚰 BPA Free CamelBak Eddy+ Water Bottle - Enhance Hydration and Sustainability by Matt Welch

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Changes (negative) in tip material and bite valve design. DELIGHTED

I've been buying bottles of CamelBak Eddy for over 10 years and never thought I would ever dislike them. I have never had a broken bottle and whenever the cap started leaking or had some other cap issue CamelBak always sent me a replacement cap which fixed the problem. My last Eddy rolled around on the hospital room floor in March and I didn't try to clean or use it for a while after that and I was just too pissed off trying to clean it. So I recently ordered a new Eddy from Revain. CamelBak has been messing around with Eddy for the worse and I've found I've used it little, although these bottles used to be like an extra link to me. I am extremely disappointed. PROBLEM = LID (Well, the CamelBak product designers and the "Oh that's a great idea!" team are a real problem, but still.) a) The bite valve is now concave instead of flat, which makes drinking much less difficult Water flows and the valve often partially blocks the suction when I try to lift the water through the straw. I'm trying to open a concave valve. c) The cover as a whole now looks and feels cheap - in short, a matte black with a poor quality texture. It's basically the same as the Dollar Tree (I like the Dollar Tree but I don't want to buy bottles there). d) The area of the open tab that comes out of the lid is now at a lower angle and doesn't protrude as far out of the lid as possible. That means you don't have much room for your fingers or hooks or whatever you're trying to get through the hole. I used to hold these bottles by the ledge when I took him for a walk, but now it's not convenient to do that. a, b, c, d!) THE WORST. It seems that these changes were made for CamelBak's benefit, not for us (or something went wrong between the design plan and its implementation). Their website advertises the top as being interchangeable with other hot water bottles and containers. I don't give a damn why Each jar has a lid so I don't need a replacement. If the top fails on one, I will call on the lifetime warranty and request a new top for this ship. like i always did If I screwed up the cap, I would buy a new cap or bottle instead of switching caps between two jars forever. Summary: BAD MOTION / BAD DESIGN, CamelBak. I think I should be glad CamelBak didn't. improve the bottle itself. Fortunately, it still seems to be the same. We hope CamelBak IMPROVES the Eddy Clasp AGAIN!
