Review on πŸ” High-performance Zeiss Terra ED Binoculars: Enhancing Your Viewing Experience by Kristy Esposo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm glad I saw a link on how good these binoculars are.

I'm glad I saw a mention of how good these binoculars are because I've tried a similar Swarovski model that costs almost three times as much. The Zeiss model feels more comfortable in the hand, especially when it's cold, as it's evenly armored and has no exposed metal. Most importantly, Zeiss is sharper. I could read the tiny numbers on the license plate date sticker better with the Zeiss than with the Swarovski CL. The field of view is good, almost as good as my wife's 8X42 binoculars, and seems pretty sharp edge to edge. The eyepieces are more comfortable than Swarovski's, although compact binoculars never feel as comfortable as full-size binoculars because the eyepieces are smaller. Eye relief is good and there isn't excessive darkening of images when the eye relief is set correctly. My only complaint is that the diopter adjustment is not lockable and is in a prominent position making it easy to accidentally move it. Such is the case with these two high-end compacts.
