I'm glad I saw a link on how good these binoculars are.

I'm glad I saw a mention of how good these binoculars are because I've tried a similar Swarovski model that costs almost three times as much. The Zeiss model feels more comfortable in the hand, especially when it's cold, as it's evenly armored and has no exposed metal. Most importantly, Zeiss is sharper. I could read the tiny numbers on the license plate date sticker better with the Zeiss than with the Swarovski CL. The field of view is good, almost as good as my wife's 8X42 binoculars, andโ€ฆ

The compact binoculars that I would like to buy from home for life for animal observation, binoculars for day hikes, but also for concerts, I have right under the Magnified and for travel, how to look at architectural features. I bought 3 highly rated binoculars: 1) Swarovski 46201 CL 8x25 pocket binoculars for $819, 2) Zeiss Terra ED 8x25 pocket binoculars for $350 and 3) this Leica Trinovid BCA 8x20 binocular with case for $457. I wear glasses so good eye relief is very important and it wasโ€ฆ

Great travelers! for binoculars

While I've read rave reviews of these Zeiss Terra ED 8x25 lightweight (<11oz) pocket binoculars, my last 4 months of owning the Swaro CL 8X25 pocket binoculars have tempered my expectations. However, I have found these little glass jewels to match 95% of the venerable and well built CLs (at 1/3 the price) in terms of looks and ergonomics! Like the CL, they have limitations in handling and comfort compared to compact or large binoculars. But for fast travel, unobtrusive viewing, easyโ€ฆ

best buy Therefore

I also read about this on the astronomy forum where I got the "usage" information below but no specifications. Buy them now. best buy Here's why: 1. Zeiss is a world-class optics company. Just like Swarovski. Compare this Zeiss Terra ED 8x25 to the premium $819 Swarovski 8x25 at Revain (even higher price list). This shows you: a) the specs are the same: field of view (6.8หš), brightness (14.1 vs. 14.2), weight (11 vs. 12 oz), eye relief (16 vs. 17mm) and Size in inches b) Specifications forโ€ฆ

Tab broke on first use - Made in China

Let me first say that I understand they are made in China and wasn't expecting much in terms of materials/finish quality. I bought them because of the glass and Zeiss design. However, I didn't expect the case's composite construction to be so flimsy that the strap eyelet would come loose so easily with normal use. Yes, in your hands it looks like expensive Zeiss binoculars. The weight is due to the good Schott ED glass. The same glass ensures a bright and clear view. However, Zeiss effectivelyโ€ฆ
