While the Lenovo Legion 5 is probably the best laptop for the price, the terrible support offsets the positives. Matte screen with great color->Great keyboard great for fast typing and gaming->Great speakers Cons:->Poor battery life -wish they could add a better battery option->Terrible support. My screen and motherboard were defective on my device. . I called on 06.12. contacted support and asked for an on-site repair. On-site repair sent to me on 12/08. an email with instructions to have a technician on 12/09. That sounds amazing! Only three days.? Well, if everything is too good to be true, the next part of the story is a given! Maintenance planning for 12/09/2020. The technician plans to provide the service on 12/10/2020. "10/12 - No show - I called the contractor and they told me to call if no one showed up by 11:00 a.m. 12/11/11 - No show. Although I barely understand what he is saying, he asked me, if i have parts and when someone signs up for it i tell them no. it never shows up. i get the following email our records show you scheduled the meeting on 16th 2020 from 3pm to 5pm: 00 ^ This is incorrect ^ I called Lenovo and they said the parts hadn't shipped yet I was given a tracking number 12/22 - technician finally shows up but late afternoon 6 hours later yes 6 hours - he only replaced the LCD not the motherboard that was provided to him.I didn't use the kitchen all night due to COVID-19 issues and he was home until 10:39pm.I wake up at 5am Working on Since he didn't have time to swap out the motherboard (which he should have done when he d disassembled the first time), he lied and said that a The anti-static packaging was damaged. Also, he incorrectly replaced the LCD or installed the heatsink/fan assembly. The processor runs at 91 C and freezes at 381 MHz. He then requested all new parts from Lenovo again, including a new heatsink and fan assembly. And he told me several times that if I find a screw, it's not from a laptop, but from something else. Why do I need screws in the kitchen? Lenovo has a policy that contractors do not lose screws. I called Lenovo on 12/29 and told them about my problems. I was told they would escalate my case and give me a response within 3 days. It is now May 1st. and I haven't heard a word from Lenovo yet. Conclusion: If your computer breaks, Lenovo may never honor its warranty. I am now sitting with a brand new paperweight. I will update this review with Lenovo's response. *UPDATE* Called Lenovo on January 7th after waiting much longer than the 3 days I was told to wait for an answer. The technical support told me that the escalation request was only on 06/01. was posted! When I asked why it wasn't done during the day, she replied that it was because of the virus. The virus has been around all year, so I don't believe this answer. She told me I could return Revane's laptop, which I did. I'm currently waiting for a refund because Revain said they couldn't send me a replacement.
