We have a dual-band (2.4 and 5 GHz) cable modem/router that is configured by default to use both frequencies. For some reason we couldn't connect the connectors on the first try, but gave it a try a week later and they both magically connected following the instructions provided. So far, both plugs have worked great with the Android app, even after briefly unplugging them to switch to a different outlet. You can turn it on and off manually with the button on the side. Update 11/19/2020: Both plugs were disconnected from the mains at least twice from time to time without a good reason. They just start blinking their light and lose connection. The first time I managed to reconnect them following the same procedure as in the application but it took 5 attempts. Last time I gave up after a few tries. I'll look around for something more reliable.
