He's sticky! fits body and trim

I used this to replace the missing insulation between the inner door panel and the door on my truck. As the manufacturer and many previous reviewers have said, this material is VERY STICKY. After reading the reviews I had a few ideas on how to work with it. Here's what I found most useful: 1. Pre-cut the material so you don't have to work with excess.2. After you have cut the material and positioned it where you want to use it, select a corner and fold back the backing just enough to allow the corner or edge to adhere to the surface. Apply pressure while walking, separate and secure in small sections. This has given me excellent results. I was able to apply almost all of the insulating sheeting without smudging it onto my hands or sticking it in places I didn't want it to. I hope these tips help! The noise cancellation from the road is really good. I'm sure the material will become brittle and more prone to ripping or tearing as it ages, but I don't plan on pulling the door panels too hard. If you plan carefully, you can even separate the backing you want to keep (e.g. to cover open spaces in a door) from the backing you want to remove. You want to keep so internal components (like power window wires) don't stick to the insulating adhesive, which is VERY STICKY (repeat for emphasis. No joke. It's super sticky!)
