Great stock lens for crop. Ideal for full length portraits. Very sharp even at aperture 2.8. If you choose between 50mm 1.8 and 40mm 2.8, feel free to take 40mm. Very light and compact. Focusing is fast and pleasant (especially after the whale). You won't find a better autofocus lens in this price range. Of the quibbles - after filming, you need to focus on infinity so that the trunk moves, otherwise there is a high probability of damaging it. In general, do not hesitate to choose this lens if you decide to buy a fix for everyday shooting.
