I made the mistake of installing them over the door leading to the house. Despite being aimed at the road at 50 feet, the camera doesn't activate until people are within 10 feet of the door, so it only captures the top of the head and not the face. Also for a backyard camera, the streetlight is so bright that at night the backyard is completely black and the street on the other side of the fence is lit up. Again, the backyard camera only activates when people are within 10 feet of the camera and not far away. I'm afraid to mount the camera lower because I don't want it to be stolen. In addition, if you have a pet, it will constantly activate the camera, which consumes battery power. Overall, I'm not very happy with this camera setup.
