Easy replacement of broken window switch

Hyundai Sonata 2009. Easy enough to replace. Remove the door panel by pulling the round plastic latches on the door to locate the screws. Lift the plastic tab under the door handle and remove the screw. The door shelf has another plastic latch with a screw underneath. Remove the screws at the bottom of the door. Use something with a plastic blade to pry the door panel off the door frame. Lift the door panel to separate the door from the window sill. Disconnect the electrical latches to disconnect the wiring harnesses. Turn the door panel upside down to find the power window switch. Remove the four small screws around the power window switch and pull out the old switch. Replace with a new switch and reverse the reassembly steps. You can shorten the steps by reducing the number of large screws you remove from the door panel after removing them from the car door. Try magnetizing your small screwdriver while replacing the four small screws holding the switch in place. There's no room to use your finger as a guide when you start screwing them in. You'll feel good because you've learned something different that you wouldn't try. Now you are ready for other similar repairs! There are YouTube videos you can watch to familiarize yourself with removing the door panel before starting work on a specific car model. Don't be afraid to try. This renovation is reassuring. Work with adequate lighting and space.
