Perfect solution for 2015 DRZ400

My standard tap started leaking fuel to the engine. I didn't want to switch to a manual faucet like some people do because I know I'll forget to turn off the fuel the first time if that causes a problem. To fix this with the tank on the bike, I drained the fuel tank by disconnecting both lines coming out of the faucet, then I ran a hose from the main outlet at the front of the faucet to the gas tank, then connected a vacuum hand pump to the carburetor vacuum line nipple . Once you create a vacuum, the fuel will flow freely out of the tank. The fuel flows freely out of the tank (no vacuum) when filling up, but I'm not sure if the filling facility is from the main or reserve part of the tank, so when setting up the reserve I just used a vacuum pump to make sure I filled up all the fuel. You can also simply empty the tank. The kit includes a faucet diaphragm, spring, and gasket between the faucet and tank seal, but does not include an oval O-ring that fits snugly into the bottom of the tank. I did not use the screws, plastic washers, or o-rings that came with the kit. You will need to fold the membrane to fit through the white plastic spacer. Pay attention to the orientation of everything when you take it apart so you put it back the right way it's pointed. and some attention to detail in the poetry. It's a lot cheaper than buying a $90 OEM unit, which is a steal for what it is, and has helped me retain the vacuum switch, which I think is a valuable feature.
