I needed an adjustable stand for my GoPro. This product is very durable even when fully extended. My only complaint is that the girth of the base makes it impractical as a selfie stick when the legs are folded. I expect part of the tripod to be detachable to even qualify as a selfie stick. I didn't buy it for that, but if I did I would be very disappointed. I give 5 stars but wanted to warn others.
