Great improvement - for enthusiasts!

, I absolutely LOVE this system! First, I've always loved my 2011 Explorer Limited 4WD; however, always felt a bit sluggish. Don't get me wrong, I get it it's not a Corvette or anything, and 7 third row seats, but to have 290 ponies under the hood I've always wanted a little more power. The Explorer is a bit lacking in torque, so I was willing to try anything. In addition to performance, I also wanted to improve fuel economy. I don't have the flex-fuel version, and while the mileage wasn't a terrible 16-17 city, 22-25 highway, I felt like there was room for improvement. carefully with the instructions, it took about 45 minutes from bonnet to lowering), I can honestly say I was impressed with the kit in every way! In addition to increasing the power you feel in the seat, it also added a nice tone that's very pronounced and loud, but only when it's meant to be (i.e. you put a little pressure on the accelerator). If you're driving at freeway speed or all the time you won't hear it at all, but if you step on the gas pedal it will sound EVIL! I will try to post a video of a 0-60 run in explorer from the cockpit, windows are up but radio is not. All in all, this kit is not for everyone! Those who love ultra-quiet driving won't get it, period! You hear it on every ride, eventually when accelerating, but I take it easy and what I hear is very aggressive and enjoyable, not to mention the benefits in terms of horsepower and MPG.

Pros
  • IMPROVED TOWING: Improves acceleration and climb performance when towing with improved throttle response.
