The advantage is that these mats work well when cooking. The downside is they seem to sear a little, which makes me concerned my food might be contaminated. The cooking time is just as fast as without a mat. There are no problems. The burgers slide over easily and don't stick at all. You have to be a bit careful when sliding the trowel under it or it will get stuck in the grooves. You won't have grill lines, but I don't care. The food tastes the same. I was very happy with the grilling performance. I worried about cleaning. I soaked it in a sink with soapy water for a while and then found that the coating had burned off (see picture). If it burned down, where did it go? Was he consumed by the atmosphere or the food? I don't think this will be a long term problem because I don't see it lasting long. You will receive two mats and I believe each mat will last for two or three uses. I was hoping this would help me avoid a new grill as my old one is starting to rust. Unfortunately, I'll be looking around for a replacement grille again.
