I am a tea lover who started brewing Gaiwan tea. I switched from the stovetop to this kettle and I am very satisfied. Two things I like the most: the temperature control and the temperature hold function. The kettle feels very solid and the handle feels surprisingly good in your hand. The infusion is really good but a lot slower than my ancient stovetop kettle and I haven't gotten used to it in a week. I accidentally knocked it over too far trying to get the water out faster. The base doesn't move at all on my kitchen countertop and the kettle is easy to remove and put back in without fiddling. Setting the temperature is very simple and everything is well thought out. Water heating costs a lot of money, but I'm glad I spent it. My inexpensive teas are much better at the right temperature - I was sure it was a tea snob. But the difference is striking. So much so that I'm now encouraged to buy expensive tea as I can brew it at the right temperature.
